I have no HD sources as yet (Sky HD coming in 2 days) but DVD's played via HDMI on my upscaling DVD player look amazing. Sound is also very good considering that you can't even see any speakers !
Nicest surprises were 1/ how lovely my digital photos look on this set (using a USB keyring plugged in the side) 2/ that I can also plug the camera itself straight into the TV and view the pics .. and 3/ how cool the set itself looks and 4/ it digitises the audio from my daughters wii that is plugged ...
