I was looking for a reasonably priced dvd player that would player my gathering collection of Region 1 dvd's and stumbled across this player advertised as multi-region. I read the review of Jm Leven and had doubts at first as to whether to purchase this item. So I took a chance hoping that the last reviewers dvd player had a problem and purchased this player. Maybe my heading wasn't fair, but that's been my experience so far. At least it's cheap, and hey - we're all so rich now we can just throw these things away and get another one if they don't work. That seems to be the attitude of electronics manufacturers these days. There's no point in buying an expensive dvd player because, no matter the price, it's just your luck if it works at all, or packs up in a few weeks or months.
