Rating:  - What a waste of £4.99
I bought this thinking it would be a cheap way of connecting my laptop to my HDTV. I went for a long cable so I wouldn't have to sit right up close to the tv. The length of the cable makes for a degraded picture quality and I don't know if the cable itself was faulty, as I keep losing the connection and my screen goes black. Rating: - 1080p blu ray issues
Tried to use this with my sony BDP S-350 blu-ray player and there was huge amounts of digital 'snow', completely ruining the picture.
Don't get me wrong - you definitely don't need to buy an expensive hdmi cable, I substituted this for a different make cheap cable that works perfectly.
Digital cables either work or they don't, and if they work then expensive cables are no better than cheap ones - but unfortunately this one doesn't work.
Rating:  - Good data cable
AS mentioned before this is a data cable not a signal cable therefore it will either work or it wont, just like a USB cable.
No need for fancy connections. I dont even know why they bother with the gold plating as it makes no difference to the data. I guess it looks pretty.
Value for money is the key and this fits the bill.
Rating: - Excellent value and quality
There is no need to pay a fortune for HDMI cables, they either work perfectly or don't work at all. I have two of these cables and both are perfect. They connect Freesat and a DVD player to my 50inch Plasma TV and the picture in HD is amazing.
Rating: - If you can't buy expensive, buy short
I bought the 3m cable for my PS3 -> 1080p Viera and it simply won't carry the 1080p. The most it'll handle is 1080i and even then there's the odd flicker.
Given the number of positive reviews I can only assume that eveyone else bought a shorter cable that didn't degrade the signal.
In short, don't buy the 3m unless your TV can't handle progressive scan.
