Rating: - Sony MZRH1B Hi-MD digital audio player and recorder
I was very wary about getting a new mindisc player because of my difficulties using a Panasonic one that I purchased 9 years ago. I have been pleasantly surprised with Sony's latest. I principally bought the player to record my trumpet playing using a Sony microphone that I had been 3 years ago. The old Panasonic minidisc produced terrible qualities of recording with significant sound distortion.
I have been using the linear PCM recording mode, which has produced fantastic results. I have ... Read More

Rating: - Sony minidisc recorder mz rh1 using Windows7
I acquired my mz last year as I needed a really good recording and cd quality playback facility managed by pc. I love this machine it is my recording studio and backing band all-in-one. Rating: - The last of a wonderful format!
Wow! I am delighted with this. I have been a great fan of mini-disc over the years and although I have an Ipod I much prefer the mini-disc system. Why? Well, I think sound quality is better, huge storage capacity on one HiMD disc is incredible and this unit is so very well made. Forget the plastic - this little stunner is metal! Sadly, Sony brought out MAC compatibility far too late for the system to be revived, but better late than never!
