Rating:  - DVD player doesn't last long
Please note that I didn't buy this product from Amazon, not that there's any reason for a product review to reflect on Amazon, but I just thought it fair to say this.
This player looked like a really good buy. I'd heard good things about LG from a colleague (who is usually right about these things) so I was confident about this machine.

Rating: - Don't buy any LG product
My brother bought this recorder and I bought the RH 7500. When they work, they are easy to use and great machines. Trouble is they both developped the same problem, which is not recognising disc ( bit of must for a DVD recorder/player).This included bought DVDs as well. Both machines were fixed, but the repair didn't last. Customer care at Lg is non existent, so I won't touch anything made by them again. Anyone thinking of doing so,should think again.

This is a nice DVD recorder, when it works, but I have to agree with those who said it was unreliable. After 6 months it stopped recognising discs, so only the hard drive worked. I took it back, but because I had stuff on the hard drive, I asked them to fix it rather than replace it.

Rating:  - good but problems connecting to NTL!!!
I have recently purchased this DVD recorder, but am having great problems utilising its different functions. I use NTL, and cannot seem to programme the channels into the recorder, so at present I cannot record anything from TV. The recorder seems to pick up only one channel (the one that I have the NTL set on at that moment). It doesnt pick up any other channels! has anyone had (and hopefully solved!) similar problems? or any advice would be fantastic as this problem is really driving me mad! Except ... Read More

I have this DVD recorder set up to my HD LG tv and the quality is excellent. For the price you get alot more. You can record 80gb of programs then write them onto a blank DVD disc. Say goodbye to video.
Its very easy to use. What more do you want
