With the prospect of a 9-hour flight to Florida on my own with two little ones under age 3, I thought that it would be a good idea to invest in a personal DVD-player for my 2 year old to watch her favourite movies. I bought this after reading many good reviews, and to be fair to Philips, for the price of the unit the screen quality is excellent, the battery life very good and the device itself feels well made. My gripe with the PET 720/05 is the noise made when the DVD is spinning, although not overly noticeable over the sound of what you are watching, the person sitting next to you is going to suffer. This is a really beautiful little player and the hack is really easy to use and effective. Playback is good quality with great sound and picture. Its small but very easy to travel with for this reason. Perfect if you are looking for a multi-region travel player.

This portable DVD player exceeded my expectations in every way, for a start it looks fantastic. The battery unit is sleek and when attached to the player does not look out of place. The picture and sound quality is absolutely fantastic which means it is exceptionally good value for money. I cannot say enough good things about this product and would recommend to anyone. I love my quality goods and this has not disappointed at all.

I agree that you shouldn't read much into any negative comments; this is a great 4star portable player, easily made multi-regional. It looks slick with a white and silver outer case and a black interior, which aids as a dark backdrop in the viewing. All the attachments you need are included with a nice little flat remote. The battery does add to the size, if attached, but the long life and colour-coded looks far outweigh this for me.
