Rating:  - An Essential Batman film that shall remain eternally necessary, after Schumacher's mess
Now, admittedly, this Batman movie never grew on me. Nor did it ever occur to me that it was as great as people said it was. I still feel personally that Batman 1989 is a superior film, as it stuck closely to the comic that it was adapted from, Michael Keaton portrayed Batman with total excellence, unassumingly as Bruce Wayne and we feel the subtle implications that he is Batman, as well as the reconciliation of that.

We first saw this film on french tv and liked it so much we bought it from Amazon. It charts the life of Bruce Wayne from childhood having fallen down a well & his fear of bats (which I share!!). His parents are later killed by a robber & thus starts the guilt trip. Christian Bale is undoubtedly the best Batman ever. Liam Neeson is brilliant as his mentor for martial arts & his eventual enemy. We see the growth of this youth and the undieing service & affection from Alfred, played superbly ... Read More

in my mind,Batman Begins is easily one of the best superhero movies ever made.the movie basically tells the story of the genesis of the caped crusader.obviously,there is a fair amount of character development involved,which you would expect based on the title.but not so much that the film becomes tedious.Batman is shown as more of a full dimensional character than in previous incarnations..Director Christopher Nolan shows great skill as a director,pacing the film very well.there are also some touches of humour ...
