Rating: - Wonderful film for everyone (including 40+ year olds...)
Yes this is basically a kids film, but as a 40+ person with no kids who has purchased the DVD, I'll happily own up to being an adult who loves this film.
This film set the benchmark for computer animated films when it was released in 1995 and it still looks good today. The story is simple and the characters are marvellous. Whoever thought of the idea that Buzz Lightyear could be a toy who believes he really is a Space Ranger deserved an Oscar. Its a brilliantly conceived idea, which ... Read More
Rating: - A Classic, one of the best.
I bought and watched this after about 5 years of not watching it, and i still love it, perhaps even more than before! I think it is one of the best childrens films ever made, but adults love it too! Even though it was made more than ten years ago i think that kids will still love this today, it should be in anyones collection, a fun clever and interesting film that was a breakthroug in the anime era. Brilliant is all that can be said!!!

Rating: - getting into it.
i loved toy story 2 but i'm still trying to get into the first toy story film. it is not as good as 2 because was the first pixar film to be released in theaters, but i watch it once in a few weeks to try to get into it. the best part is the end of the movie where the family moves, i mean the moving truck. but it still is a great addition to toy story 2. i would rate this a 3 star rating because it is not as good as 2.
Rating: - Pixar-tastic!
This was a groundbreaking film when it came out, you'd think that after all these years it'd look dated and not up-to-scratch compared to modern CGI features - but it still looks great!
I watched it again the other on DVD and if you really scrutinise you can tell where an image is added over another (Buzz and Woody at the top of the stairs in the evil Sid's house - they don't really appear to be making contact with the floor) but this is such a minor detail that most people would never ...
