Rating: - Problem with 5.1 sound
This DVD player is apparently not compatible with all 5.1 speaker kits, and if you google "Alba DVD566" you'll see that one of the first results is a website decribing problems with the 5.1 feature, even when the player is used with the matching set of Alba speakers.
Also, for some reason there is no on/off button or volume control on the remote, which is pretty inconvenient.

I was really impressed with this player when I opened the box. Slim and stylish, and it even included a scart cable - something you don't get for free very often these days. Then I saw the remote - I was really disapointed - no power button! There's even a space where it should be, but definatly not there.
