We have had a Shinco 7 inch portable DVD player for 2 years now which has had a resonably rough life with 2 small children, several car and plane trips (not to mention the husband watching model areoplane dvd's in the bath with it perched on the sink!!!).

What a great player - it plays any kind of disc or card with great quality video and passable audio which improves to great quality via small plug-in extension speakers such as those marketed cheaply by Sony etc. all comes in a very nice soft carry-case with all necessary leads and accessories.I was a bit nervous about taking the plunge, having never heard of Shinco but have no regrets at all.

I went for the extra sized screen and was not disappointed. Great reproduction and kept my kids quiet for hours in the car on the way to the Lake District. Will also use it on the plane this summer to. Can get hot underneath so hence is probably better slung between 2 front seats (note carrying bag is not designed for this). Yes it is a bit plasticy and yes only one set of headphones with it but it can take 2. Sound without headphones is not "cinema" quality but perfectly adequte. Great value I thought.

great player as it plays dvd -/+rw,region 3 as well as cd's.it also accepts my usb flash pen drive without any problems and can even transfer usb data onto a recordable dvd player via the shinco. i also connected it to my freeview,vhs recorder,sony amplifier.my shinco 10 dvd portable is just as good.

Would give the Shinco 12" DVD Player 5* Stars for picture quality,unfortuantly it is let down by its build quality. Plastic!! Plastic!! Plastic.Don't think the DVD lid will last long attached to the Player with my 5 Year old Daughter watching her Cartoons on it!! Would have been happy to pay a bit more were it made of an alloy.
