Im struggling to think of anything good to say.I have just timed how long it takes to load a disc,that i used the cyberhome to record with.After 13 hours i decided to pull the plug out!!!!! This machine is noisey,slow and the recording quality is awful.Thank god i kept the old vhs!

The CyberHome DVR 1600 Multi-region DVD recorder was extremely easy to setup. Once I fine tune all the channels so that the dvd recorder can record, i noticed that there is a preview box for tuning in the channels, so you know what channels you got.
I setup to record Casualty on BBC One and i noticed that theirs a preview box showing which channel you about to record, so that you perfectly know for sure your recordering that channel. The picture quality on playback after recording was ... Read More

Got this as a present for Christmas, it was my choice as I did a bit of research on the model first. Just really looking for a cheap DVD Recorder that did what I wanted it to do. Loads of VHS blanks that needed transferring over and hopefully quite a few Camcorder memories of my daughter when they were very little.
I'm glad to say it did exactly what I expected of it and more.

I bought this recorder just before Christmas, and used it occasionally. After a family wedding I wanted to transfer from digital camcorder to DVD, I had loads of trouble where after recording onto a disc it would not be recognised. This also occured after recording from other sources (tv), rendering the discs useless, so I now have a pile of discs that have been recorded to but cannot be used again.Just about to return this item to Returns Department, so hope I'm not going to have any trouble getting ... After trying the Cyberhome dvd recorder I went back to my VCR.
It was very unreliable. It skipped when recording and skipped when playing commercially recorded discs. The user interface was complex but I managed to get it to work sporadically. Sometimes it would not recognise a disc it had previously written to. Sometimes it would not finalise a disc so that it could be played on another machine.
