Rating: - True Quality Sound
As many others have said "you need to get the fit right!". The build quality is superb even if they are a little bulkier than others on the market. In particular the thickness of the cable can be off putting. The jack is a little large also, but these points are out weighed by the fantastic quality of sound. What amazed me on using them was the sounds you hear that you miss on cheaper products. The breathing of the musicians, the shuffle of feet! You really feel you are in the thick of it. On the ... Rating: - WARNING: these earphones have no bass!!
I was quite surprised to see reviews on here saying the bass is good on these earphones, as I found it almost non-existent.
In fairness, bass on in-ear headphones comes down to how well they fit...so I guess you just have to try them out. If they work for you then great because the high/mid range on these is AMAZING.
Rich and sharp, you hear every detail...unfortunatley the lack of bass killed it for me.
I also found them very uncomfortable and intrusive...again a personal ... Read More
Rating: - Ok, but they don't stay in properly
The shape of your ear is a personal thing - one man's beautiful fit is another girls throbing ache. I just found my E3Cs unutterably frustrating - so I sold them cheap on eBay. They simply would not stay in snugly for more than about 5 paces when walking. For those 5 paces they sounded very clear with reasonable bass (nothing massive mind)- like all-high end buds I've tried, the trebble can be a bit overbearing. For my ears, these were hopeless buds. I've found the Sennheiser CX55 work very well for ... Read More
Rating: - The best earphones I've ever owned
There are several reasons why I think these earphones are so good.
1) The sound quality is excellent. There's plenty of bass, even at low volumes.
2) They block out lots of background noise. Thankfully this means you don't have to crank the volume right up to hear your music. (They come supplied with several sizes of rubber ear pieces so they'll fit everyone.)
3) They are incredibly comfortable. Unlike tradition in ear plastic earphones, these don't hurt your ears after twenty minutes ... Read More
Rating: - Thank Goodness for the Warranty....Kind Of!
Yes the E3Cs have great sound, but only when they are actually working.
Unlike most reviews on here I had my set for 10 months before leaving feedback. It does take a while to get used to the 'weirdness' of blocking out the background noise, but don't buy any waffle about 'no more station announcements' and 'goodbye to annoying commuters on their mobiles'. I could definitely hear both with ease whilst making the daily commute. With a good seal I would say that you could block out around 40% ... Read More
