Great machine, plays all my divx,xvid no bother, and with some work you can add subtitles that can be turned on or off with your divx films (newest firmware is needed). For <£80 you could not ask for more (well you could but you aint gonna get it).
A machine that performs well above the price tag, and as for the occasional moan about the remote, i paid for it's ability to play more than just dvd's, and it does it superbly.

i was bit sceptical of how well the built in decoder would work with the many codecs out there but of the many divx/xvid etc. movies that i've played so far i've only had one decoding problem.
looks pretty good and i can't understand anyone calling it either flimsy (i think some of the other reviewers must have been the unlucky recipients of a duff batch), or difficult to use, as my 3-year old has mastered it and uses it (too!) regularly. playback is good from either divx/xvid on cd or genuine ... Well this is the second MPEG4 player I have owned, the previous one anElta was not of a quality I would recommend- it lasted less than 12months, but this one does exactly what it professes to do on the box, itplays all of my Divx, MPEG and Xvid movies, I played region 1 and 2 discswith no problems either. Works well out of the box. Straight forward connection to TV with the supplied scart-cable. However, get a S-video cable for superior picture, if your TV can handle it (most new TVs do).
Easy flash software upgrade (my first ever). Some people may be intimidated by the thought of burning their own upgrade CD - but they can buy an upgrade CD-rom in stead.
Takes everything I feed it. No skipping or frezzing while playing DVDs. Good sound. JPEGs look great on-screen.

I've been using this player for a few weeks now and it seems to play everything that I put into it, including any version of DivX and Xvids and encoded with any audio format (inc AC3).
The player included a built in dolby digital 5.1 decoder so you only need speakers to connect to it. There are plenty of connections on the back and a scart lead is even provided in the box.
