Rating: - Better than any other JVC DVD Player.
The new DVD video XV-N316 player is equipped with the PAL porgressive technology developped by JVC...And it shows! An exceptional quality in image making this DVD player a top range player: improved quality with N/A video 10 bits/54 MHz (better image rendering). The XV-N316 reads all disk formats: DVD video, DVD-RW (format vidéo), DVD-R, CD, SVCD, VCD, CD-R/RW, and various contents ; MP3, digital photos JPEG (CD-R/RW), MPEG-4. Rating: - Excellent
I had a very cheap Hyundai DVD player and was not at all impressed with the picture quality. When any real action appeared on the screen it was very jerky. I then replaced it with the JVC XVN33 and WOW what a difference. The picture quality is excellent, there is absolutely no jerking of the picture regardless of the amount of action on screen. The controls are easy to use. To be honest pretty much what I expected from a good quality DVD player, and especially from JVC. I paid £70 for mine several ... Read More
Rating: - Easy use for the technology shy
I've owned a few DVD players, but was sent this to replace one that had been stolen. I am frankly impressed. Despite its low price, I think this is a great piece of kit; slim, stylish and very very easy to use.
So easy in fact that when my aged parents decided they would like to move into this century I bought them one - so confident am I that I won't need to be there to set it up for them! Recommended highly for those who don't want to waste a week decyphering the instructions!
Rating: - Good Value for Money
I have to say I'm very pleased with most of the functions of this DVD player but the one that irritates a little is the relatively slow response to displaying JPEG images from a CD. This was one of the main features I was looking for in a new DVD player (the ability to play JPEG files directly from a CD) and while the output is by and large satisfactory, it does try one's patience if you have a long list of files to browse! Making up a VCD (using, say, Nero) of the same images results in a responsive ... Read More
Rating: - JVC XV-N33SL Multi-Region
Despite its moderate price tag, JVC's XV-N33SL player does not seem to be missing any features at all -- it fully supports all manner of writable DVD media, as well as other formats, such as jpeg, etc., while still offering excellent picture quality. This player can be considered truly multi-region -- I've played DVD-Rs, Video CDs, NTSC DVDs, all without a problem. The unit is slim and attractive, while it's also sturdy and solid in construction. It's also compact enough to fit into smaller TV cabinets. ... Read More
