Rating: - Great player - but is it really multiregion ???
This is a great dvd player with excellent picture quality. The player however is NOT multiregion even though it is advertised as being one.

My previous DVD player (Toshiba SD100) went bang so I went looking for a top quality replacement.
I paid a lot more for a Pioneer 656. Reckoned it would be worth it because it handles DVD-A and SACD playback, has internal decoding and multichannel line level outputs to connect to external amplification.
Well, it was worth it. It hasn't given a minute's trouble, gives superb pictures with great edge definition and stunning colour rendition.
