I purchased my portable Panasonic dvd player nearly two years ago and paid quite a healthy premium price for it aswell but i am still exceptionally pleased at the overall quality of manufacture and superb picture for such a small screen.

Rating: - Compact, Practical, Cheap
The Panasonic DVDLV50 is a fantastic portable DVD player. The clever screen mechanism detaches from the unit, allowing the screen to be folded back upon itself. The picture and sound quality is superb. The unit also plays a wide variety of formats, including MP3 CDs.
Rating: - Excellent portable player
I bought this player for it's size. It's basically a DVD with a square box around it. The 5" display is very crisp but needs a little more brightness and contrast control. The battery lasts around 2.5 hours which is enough for any movie. I have managed to source a 12V adaptor which works both in a car and on those new sockets provided in some planes.

One of my best buys on a long time. Great for travelling -especially planes. Great picture quality and superb sound via headphones(not supplied so buy some good Sony's). Great for CD's as well. The re-chargeable battery pack makes the unit a little heavy but you can live with that. Sadly I can't find either a good carry case or an in car adapter/charger. As a bit of kit though - could become indispensable.

I bought this portable DVD player when it was first released and im still impressed by the sound and picture quality of such a tiny little gadget. My only grumble is that is only works with region 2 DVDs, but if u just get them from the uk its unlikely it will effect you in any way. The battery is very reliable and its a tough player cause ive dropped it down the stairs and its fine! Overall the best money ive spent on a random impulse buy!
