Rating:  - Good longevity, a few small setbacks.
The GOOD:
I have had these headphones for about 18 months, maybe more, and they're still going strong. This is pretty good going, since my last 2 sennheisers lasted about a year before the wire at the headphone port frayed, and i lost sound in one ear. The sound is crisp and nothing is lost, but the bass isnt too good. Rating:  - Superb headphones
I bought these to replace some Pioneer DJ headphones that had lost one channel. I can not vouch for the long term reliability of these headphones but they seem every bit as good as the Pioneer at a fraction of the cost. They are very comfortable (they adjust) and convenient to use and I have no complaints about quality even listening in a home hi fi environment. For DJ use these are the best value for money headphones that I have owned.

I initially thought I would but a MDRV300 but ended up being gifted a MDRV500. These headphones are way way better than the V300. They Rock !!
I have noticed notes in songs which I never really heard before. The Bass is just perfect - very refined and not raw. I have tried playing notes as high as possible but these headphones have never let me down. Every sound plays crystal clear .

As pretty much every reviewer says, these are great headphones. They would be a good buy at £60, and you can now get them for less than £40.
I bought mine five years ago and they still rock - the pivots are way looser than when new, but that was always going to happen, but everything else is as new.
Great sound, great sound insulation, very comfortable.
Apart from splashing £150 on Bose, these ARE the headphones you want to buy.

When i got these headphones this morning i thought i was still dreaming. Their looks are sleek and minimalistic, whereas the sound is a far cry from that. After i had got over the cool folding mechanism and adjusted them to fit my head i plugged them into my headphone amp and was blown away.
