Rating: - Great Player for this price
I got one of these a couple of months ago. I paid a lot more than the Amazon price too:-(

I use the digital output to hook up to my Videologic DigiTheatre decoder and speakers, and this is a great player for surround sound, but like any player you need extra kit. The decoder isn't built into the player, but it does have a digital output and can pass the stream to a decoder. If you wan't surround sound with your DVD, this is the best way to do it.
Rating: - Excellent picture quality, smooth controls
A great DVD player. Excellent video and sound output. Note that there is no built in dolby processor (so not for those who want surround sound). An excellent budget buy - if all you want is a good picture and sound through your tv you won't be disappointed.
Only one small gripe, and probably common with most DVD's - if I select subtitles, it forgets it when I change disk. Can't the manufacturers see that if someone selects subtitles, they probably want subtitles on permanently?
