A series of gang battles in New York, lead by Sallie "The Shark" Macelli, (Robert Loggia) and his men, Joe Gennaro, (Anthony LaPaglia) Tony, (Chazz Palminteri) and Jacko, (Tony Sirico) gets the attention of Marie, (Anne Parillaud) a vampire in desperate need of blood. Rating: - Just what you would expect from John Landis,
This film is a treat for all those fans of comedy horror. While I'm not the greatest fan of the genre (comedy horror, that is, and not horror; I LOVE horror!), I did enjoy this film, although I didn't think it was a patch on AMERICAN WEREWOLF, which is Landis's crowing achievement.

this is probably my favourite vampire film. its funny, exciting and just a little scary. it is also pretty gory for a 15 rated film. it is by far my favouriite john landis film ( yes better than an american werewolf in london). there isn't too much plot so it doesn't tax your brain which is fine because it's a horror film. it is however very entertaining, much more so than other recent vampire/dracula films. if you like landis or any of the cast you should see this film without a doubt. the special effects ...
