Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - AN OK VAMPIRE EFFORT
A series of gang battles in New York, lead by Sallie "The Shark" Macelli, (Robert Loggia) and his men, Joe Gennaro, (Anthony LaPaglia) Tony, (Chazz Palminteri) and Jacko, (Tony Sirico) gets the attention of Marie, (Anne Parillaud) a vampire in desperate need of blood. As Marie starts killing off the members of the gang, Joe decides to investigate the deaths, and his cover as an undercover cop is eventually exposed, making him the target of the other member's fury. When one of the dead gang members ... Read More

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - A French Vampire in America...
When the director of An American Werewolf in London decides to do a vampire film, people pay attention. When he decides to mix the genre with mafia gangsters, people raise their eyebrows. What ensues is a horror comedy in the way only John Landis can serve it up...

Two things keep you going when you're immortal, food and sex. Marie [Anne Parillaud] is a French vampire who feeds only on killers. Deciding that she fancies Italian, she allows various mafia hoodlums to pick her up, leaving each ... Read More

The film concerns a female vampire who only drinks the blood of the wicked, and in this case the local mafiosos are on the menu. After bungling up a feast on 'Sally the Shark' (played with relish by Robert Loggia), ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - a great vampire movie
this is probably my favourite vampire film. its funny, exciting and just a little scary. it is also pretty gory for a 15 rated film. it is by far my favouriite john landis film ( yes better than an american werewolf in london). there isn't too much plot so it doesn't tax your brain which is fine because it's a horror film. it is however very entertaining, much more so than other recent vampire/dracula films. if you like landis or any of the cast you should see this film without a doubt. the special effects ...
