Both my boys loved this and it was a really fun read for mum, dad and grandma - bedtime reading can sometimes feel a chore for parents when you are tired but we all wanted to know what happened next! There is marital disharmony in our house since these books first entered our lives. We argue over who is putting our daughter to bed because we BOTH want to read the next few chapters to her! Forget the kids! These books are great! 6 year old daughter also adores the books and thinks Andy Stanton is mad and funny. they really should, i love it and am recommending to all my young friends - and their parents!

My 8 year old daughter has been so taken with the Mr Gum series, she has read them all. This is the one she found the most funny. I have not seen her have her head in a book as often as she has with this one. I have also bought this for a friend's son too and he thoroughly enjoyed it (aged 8)
Go ahead, buy it, read it and wait for the giggles in the background; they're guaranteed!

On second thoughts. Stuff the medication and just write some more books like this. The man's a genius. Buy this book, I promise you, you will not regret it. The funniest book I have read for a long time - My boys aged 8 and 10 are now fighting over our 1 copy - literally!
